Baby Capri is here!!!

Born August 31st at 2:24pm. She was 6.13 LBS and 19" long. My Doctor broke my water at 1:00 and I started having strong contractions about 15 minutes later. They upped my epidural and left. Another 15 minutes went by and my body wanted to push with each contraction. I told Ty to get the nurse because it was time! The nurse came to check the progress and the baby's head was already there! The Doctor took forever to get there or so it seemed. I was told to pretty much "cross my legs" until he got there. Very hard to do. Tyler got to deliver her. One push and she was out on my belly. My first thoughts were: "I can't believe how tiny you look, She is so cute and looks EXACTLY LIKE THE OTHERS, she is mine, I love her....."

What a great year! 2010 was so much fun. Tyler's business is booming, the kids are growing up so fast and are so healthy. (That is really all I could ask for.) We found out that we are expecting baby #4 and so far everything is going really well. I love being able to stay home with the kids and FINALLY mastered homemade bread! We've spent a lot of time with family this year and that is always really fun. Can't wait for 2011!!!

Come on. You know it was bound to happen. People keep telling me he is "too pretty to be a boy" so I couldn't resist. Briley always wanted a sister!! My anorexic baby. :-) Doesn't he look hungry?? He had a little cold and wouldn't eat! I think he had maybe two bottles a day. It was driving me crazy but now I just have to laugh looking at this chubby picture. I'm sure it didn't hurt him a bit!

Paxton is 9 months old!! I like having details to compare to my other kids so here we go:
He is almost 22lbs but feels like 50lbs! I have been trying for 3 MONTHS to get him to eat ANYTHING besides formula or oatmeal and today he just finished a WHOLE JAR of sweet carrots. I usually can't get more then 3 spoonfuls in him but he FINALLY did it! And this picture is the outcome. What a mess! He even has baby food on his toes! Maybe it was the Tupperware lid he was playing with the whole time. Who knows. He is rolling around everywhere! He'll get up on all fours and just sit there. He is SO close to crawling. It will be any day now. He pulls himself up to things and can go from laying to sitting without any help. He is sleeping from 8pm-8am waking once at 5:00am for a bottle. I figure its over 8 hours of sleep so I give him a bottle and he sleeps another 2-3 hours. He only has 2 naps a day and that is a KILLER for Mamma! I was loving the 3-4 naps he use to take. I get less and less done everyday!

We headed to the Greenbelt Sunday for some much needed SUN! We had a lot of "FIRSTS". Paxton's first time on grass, eating bread, feeding ducks, etc. Pax is 8 months old now. Here are his stats:

I think that he is still my smallest baby! We are enjoying every minute of him. He is so sweet and already has the cutest sense of humor. Yes I do have two other kids and love them just as much but I seem to take a lot more pictures of the baby. Nothing wrong with that, they grow up way too fast! He wanted the bread SO bad and I finally gave in. It was almost like he knew what it was. He couldn't get enough of it!

I love this Temple. It was where first did baptisms for the dead, got engaged and was married. My favorite was being there with all three of my pregnancies. I was able to go clear up to the last couple weeks.

Ahhh....over sized wheels, heavy duty suspension, mud bogging, tractor pulls, big truck smashing little cars, man-made barriers, donuts, wheelies, noise, Ozzy, Metallica, and don't forget the demolition Derby. Yes- there were mullets, long sideburns, personal hygiene at its best, bare feet, beer bellies, and stained, sleeveless t-shirt to name a few. And YES there we were on the 2nd row with the whole fam. (Minus Paxton.) It was a lot of fun and we didn't get to bed that night till 2:00am. I didn't realize you could get a hangover from loud music and junk food! Mason looked so darn cute with those headphones on and squashed checks. He was in heaven and even said, "This is funner then Disney Land!"

When Ty and I were first married we use to go Paint balling all the time. But that was back when everyone used pumps and it is was fairly painless. I haven't been in the last 4 years because I'm usually pregnant and now everyone has semi-autos so I've been too scared to go. But I decided to brave it out and give it another try. My gun still works great and us girls ROCKED!

So this is what Tyler does while I am gone. I left for two hours Saturday and Ty had bought Bry her own little attachment for our tandem bike. The idea was that I would pull Bry on my bike and Ty would pull the boys. Little embarrassing at first but hey- we like to be close and we don't have to worry about Bry swerving into a car. It is SOOOO FUN and I know it will be one of my favorite things to do this summer. The happy boys inside.

Last night Ty watched the old Disney "Robin Hood" with the kids while I went shopping. He let Bry sleep in Mason's room. He checked on them this morning and noticed that Bry had made her bed in a winter sled. So before she woke up he quietly pulled her into the living room. So I am a proud Mama. Briley has been taking Piano for less then 7 weeks. Her teacher didn't think she'd be ready to play in this recital but Bry would memorize half the stuff she was practicing anyway. So she got to pick her 3 favorite ones to play. It is so cool to hear her in the piano room playing away. I hardly ever have to tell her to practice because she loves it so much. I can always hope that won't wear off right?

LOOK AT THAT CHUBBY FACE!!! I wanted to post this just in case someday he becomes a grand piano player. :-) He loves to pound on this all day long! He is 7 months now. I can't believe how fast it is going. The last few weeks he has figured out that he can fight me on naps. His eyes use to roll back in his head as soon as I would start to rock him but now he just wants to sit up. He literally does crunches until he is in an upright position. He is teething a little but the baby orajel works great for that. He wants to grab anything and everything in sight. So the next time you are bored, just sit by us at a restaurant and watch what happens! I'm sure it's entertaining watching us eat, try to keep a baby off the table, keep two other kids from fighting and see how many dishes break. This is why I love being a stay at home Mom. It has been a love hate thing since I first started having kids. I love it , I hate it, I love it again. I have spent the last few years of motherhood playing tug-a-war with myself. But since having Paxton I am down in the mud holding a white flag in the air. It is official....I AM A TRUE STAY-AT-HOME MOM! I mean that in the best way. For me I have found that having 3 kids has cured me from feeling like there is somewhere else I should be. Something funner or better I should be doing. The grass is no longer greener on the other side. I don't know if it's having 3 kids or that I am just older. It is probably a combination of both. I love being able to stay home all day. If I want to stay in my pajamas all day, I WILL. If I want to run errands, I CAN. I'm not saying that there aren't still bad days because there are. It is so DRAINING sometimes. But I don't see myself as just "my kids servant" anymore because I know I am doing the most important thing in my life right now. What could be more important? Nothing. Hopefully I'll remember this the next time Satan snags me and makes me feel like there is somewhere else I should be then where I am now.

Sunny Days in Mexico

We had such a great vacation. We cruised to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. It was so warm, fun, and beautiful. This is at the Long Beach airport. If you ever go to Cali use this one. You walk off your plane, grab your luggage (which is outdoors) and your off. SO EASY! All airports need to be like this one.
Getting onto the Ship. We sailed with Royal Caribbean "Mariner of the Seas."Here is the whole clan. Val, Diane and all their kids.Formal Night. I can't remember the last time I got dressed up. That is exactly why vacations are a must!Stuffing my face. I think I gained 10 lbs! No more snow!! It was around 80* the whole time we were there. And the best part is that the water is just as warm. It felt so good!

SO FUN!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN. But like any vacation it was great to come home to the kids. Tyler wanted a Private Viewing with Paxton before the other two crazies came in. HAHA. It was hard to leave those chubby checks, but with Grandma watching him, I knew he was getting lots of love. Bry and Mason are awesome and love when we go on vacation which makes it really easy on everyone. I packed way to much but was down to my last outfit the day we came home. I think I changed 3 times a day. We ate TONS of FOOD, stayed up late every night playing games and did I mention the first night I slept 14 hours straight!! I think it was a combination of sleep deprivation for 6 months, the ship rocking me to sleep, and the anti-nausea pills. I think just getting to sleep and nap was what I looked forward to most before we left. So after getting all caught up on sleep we partied the rest of the time. There were great comedians, ice skating shows, shopping, ice cream, the sun, the beach, great excursions, did I mention the food! SO FUN! Now back to reality.

I can't believe he is already 6 months old! I wanna cry! He is so sweet. He discovered that he has a tongue this week and almost every picture is showing it off. He is only waking up once during the night and naps ever 2-3 hours. He is trying out solids but gags the whole time. He is so chubby and getting hard to lug around all day. He thinks he is such a big boy sitting up by himself. It is awesome because he will entertain himself on the floor for a while before I have to pick him up. He is rolling around and has discovered his voice. He talks all day long! I am really trying to enjoy every minute with him because I know it won't last long. (yet some days are longer then others.) Happy Anniversary! Here's what we had to look forward to after year 8.... We ran some errands and took the kids to see "The Princess and the Frog." Oh the Romance!!!! It sounds crazy but it was a great day and I felt very much loved. After the kids were in bed we talked about the last 8 years and decided that not much has changed. We still feel the same way about each other the day we were married and more. We still feel like we are in high school. (Which is a good thing.) Oh-it's great to be married to someone who makes you happy no matter what you are doing!! Yesterday, we looked at each other and said, "HOLY CRAP!! Can you believe we’ve been together now for EIGHT years? And that we still love each other? And that we’re still attracted to each other? Can you believe that we’re actually still excited to see each other when you come home from work? That it actually keeps getting better instead of fizzling out? WOW!!” And I’m serious. I’m truly amazed that two people can stay together, be best friends, annoy each other sometimes but still be in love and remain interested in each other for as long as they do. It’s exciting to think we’re beating the odds. And most of the time it doesn’t even feel as though we’re trying. It comes easily. We were married 8 years ago in the Idaho Falls Temple on a cold, sunny day. It was stress free and full of laughter. I forgot your wedding band and end up giving it to you that night. Do you remember how hard it was for you to go to work because I always wanted you to stay home with me? Something's never change- Love you Ty!! I look forward to Cruising the Mexican Riviera with you next week.

Every year since the kids where babies we make a huge Valentines Card for Dad. While the kids color the card I take their pictures and fill the whole card with pictures of them coloring it. Thiswas Pax's first year helping. Bella also wondered over to see what the big fuss was and Bry's Hamsters somehow made there way over. For some reason Ty REALLY likes this and looks forward to it every year. The cards are HUGE and he won't let me throw them out. (I've tried.) But it is fun to look back every Valentines Day and see how much they've changed.

I can't believe that I am old enough to have a 6 year old! It is a good thing though. She is the BEST little mommy to her brothers. It really takes two to raise boys. She is so smart, loves art, music, and dancing around the house. She is so active and keeps us on our toes. She staring taking piano lessons and is totally exceeding my expectations. It's finally here! Christmas Eve morning we decorated our Christmas baskets, sprinkled reindeer food out on the lawn and did some last minute Christmas wrapping. Sounds perfect right? Well, shortly after that all heck broke loose and everyone was fighting over everything! This continued on for most of the day. It's funny how you always picture things going one way in your head and they almost ALWAYS turn out another way. I couldn't take it anymore and decided to forgo our traditional Christmas Eve plans and we headed to "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" around 5:00pm. Moods were definitely changed for the better and we were able to enjoy the rest of the night. We headed to the Burton's for a Christmas Party. The kids ran around and played for a while before heading home.

When all the Presents were opened and I began to clean up, Tyler surprised me with one more. It was a picture of Jesus holding a little baby. I've always loved this one as I picture Christ holding & hugging my babies before sending them to me here on Earth. It is so beautiful and I love it! Thanks TY! Lets be honest...this is all Tyler really wanted for Christmas! :-D The kids wanted Bikes and Scooters from Santa but knowing they won't be able to enjoy those for a while (Lovely weather here) they got plenty of other things. It was lots of fun!

Writing Letters to Santa

Every year we pick a charity to do as a family for Christmas. Their favorite by far is the Christmas Tree because it is so easy for them to participate in. Everyone gets to pick a little boy or girl off the tree and we go shopping for that child. They are young but totally understand what we are doing and it makes them so happy to know that they are going to make others happy on Christmas Morning.

Briley lost her first tooth...and the tooth fairy forgot to come!! It was not a proud moment as a parent. I felt like the biggest failure. It is one of those milestones that you start to picture and can't wait for as a parent and I totally blew it. I FLEW out of bed at 6:30 in the morning, reached in my pocket, and felt the dollar bill STILL in my pocket. I snuck downstairs but it was too late. She must have been up for hours. When I asked her if the tooth fairy came she said "No." She then started telling me about how the cat kept waking her up so I told her that our cat Bella must have scared the tooth fairy away and that she only comes when everyone is asleep, even the cat. Briley laughed and I knew I was off the hook but after beating myself up all day it was over and the tooth fairy came the next night.

Briley did soccer this year for the first time and had a blast! She always says that she likes it more then school, ballet, and everything! Mason will be on her team for the Winter Season so that will be cute to watch. My little dragons.

I had a very "Martha Stewart" Halloween with pumpkin pie and warm apple cider. Tyler took the kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and I stayed home with Pax. I think the kids had more fun when they got home and got to hand out candy to all the kids.

Paxton's Blessing Day

With all the sickness going around this year we decided to bless Paxton at our home Sunday November 11th. Tyler did a great job blessing him and then we had cake with ice cream. Pax is so big already I can't hardly believe it. He has been a GREAT BABY. I feel like I get to play house and dolls all day like I did when I was little. I'm still waiting for it to hit me that I have three kids. I can't believe how similar Bry, Mason and Pax where as babies. I think that is why it is so easy this time around. We had to learn a lot with Briley. Then when we had Mason were like, "Oh yeah..I remember this." And now with Pax it feels like PIECE OF CAKE...I'VE GOT THIS. Their looks, personalities, mannerisms, everything are so similar. They all slept through the night at the same time, eat the way, like the same things, (swing, rocking, vibrating chair.) It's pretty awesome. I pretty much had the same baby THREE times! His TWO MONTH stats are:

They were holding Paxton for about 5 minutes while I was on the computer and when I came out to check on him he was half-way off Mason's lap with a bow in HIS hair.

I am so PROUD of my little boy Mason that I could CRY!! Tyler was running errands this morning with Mason. Mason hadn't hardly said two words all day. (He is a very quite boy.) Whenever people would ask him something he just shakes his head yes or no. Well, the last stop they had was to Tyler's attorney to talk about business. Mason was just sitting in a chair by Tyler and about 10 minutes into the conversation the attorney said a sentence with the word "STUPID" in it. Mason immediately says, "That is not a nice word- that's a bad word. WAY TO GO MASON!! Everyone had a good laugh but I am so proud of him. Way to put him in his place!

Aw....All the shopping, getting supplies, cute outfits, matching accessories, backpacks, shoes....It is so exciting. And I think more exciting for me then for them. Two and a half hours ALL TO MYSELF!! WHERE TO BEGIN!! (Oh wait- I just had a baby.) But that is ok. One is a lot easier then three and I have learned that if given the option I would rather go out with the baby then the other too. Paxton still sleeps a lot and LOVES his car seat so that works out great. I even ventured to the Mall the other day for the first time in a long time. My husband wants to keep me pregnant because I don't ever feel like shopping- (What's the point when you've gained 50 lbs.) So our bank account stays up there. Although I make up for it with a HUGE grocery bill!! One thing I loved about being pregnant is how nice people are to you. Even total strangers want to help you out. Why can't people be that nice all the time. I need to be nicer to people. Not that I'm mean but sometime I just get so caught up in my own little thing or my kids that I don't pay attention to the people around me. Even if they are strangers. K- that is what I'm working on. And yeah- Briley is in Kindergarden every afternoon and Mason has preschool three days a week. They both LOVE it! We all do.

Paxton is three weeks old now and so fun for me. I just sit around all day starring at him but it's only because I know that this time is so short. I look at Briley and Mason and think, "Wow! That's going to be Paxton soon." To my dismay, my beautiful newborns face has broken out with little red bumps or "baby acne" on his cheeks. It just so happened to occur at the same time as his peak gas production and fussiness. How attractive! Oh- the faces they pull are hilarious!!

FIRST DAY HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL

A man took his pregnant wife to the hospital to give birth. The doctor told them that they'd developed a new machine and asked if the couple would like to try it out. The machine could take some of the pain of childbirth from the mother and give it to the father to ease the mother's burden.Well, they thought that was a good idea, and decided to give it a try. The doctor initially set the machine on 10 percent, telling the man that even 10 percent was probably more pain than he'd ever experienced. But the husband was surprised at how little pain he was feeling, and asked the doctor to raise the level.The doctor increased it to 20 percent, and when the man still felt fine, he raised it to 50 and finally 100 percent.After it was all over, the man stood up, and stretched a little. Both he and his wife felt fine, and they shortly left the hospital to take the baby home.It was then that they found the mailman dead on their doorstep...

First day home from the hospital. We had Paxton Monday and came home Tuesday. It's hard to sleep or relax with everyone coming in all the time. It was so good to be home! He is doing really good.

LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS KID!! DOES THAT LOOK LIKE A NEWBORN TO YOU?? Paxton was finally born August 10th 2009. He was 8.4lbs and 20 inches long. I was in labor for a little over 5 hours. He came out in ONE PUSH!! Tyler got to help deliver him which was awesome. The Doctor put his hands under Tyler's as he held the baby's head, got the shoulders out and plopped him on my belly. Today happens to be Tyler's birthday also- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER! That was a long 9 months but totally worth the wait. I'm still trying to decided who he looks like??

ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT!!! Time is totally standing still! I had a doctors appointment today. I took these pics before I left to see the Doctor. I'm dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced so things are moving along. I can't believe how fast it has gone by up until the last month. I feel like I'm probably going to be pregnant forever and my face looks like it got stung by a really big bee! I'm getting a bit more uncomfortable and find it harder to sleep at night. But I am getting more and more excited to finally see the baby! What can I do to keep myself busy?? I've slowly begun to pack my hospital bag and am all too familiar with the Nesting Instinct. This time though I've paid someone else to nest for me and had my house professionally detailed and the carpet cleaners are coming next week to shampoo the carpets.

This has been a great summer! I didn't know how it would turn out because everyone keep telling me how miserable I would be having a summer pregnancy. But this has definitely been my best pregnancy so far and we have still been able to do pretty much everything we want! That is all thanks to my sister Malia who has been living with me all summer helping out. She does Preschool with the kids every morning for two hours, which they love and then helps out with anything else that I need that day. It's been great! I've been so spoiled, I almost feel guilty...almost. The kids have enjoyed our season pass to the Zoo. Mason loved pulling everyone in the wagon. Our favorite thing to do when Tyler gets home from work is going boating. Briley is so outgoing and always up for anything. She loves tubing and jumps in the water every time we stop! Mason is a good boy and pretty much just sits on my lap the whole time. Which I love. It's so hard to think that he's not going to be my baby anymore...(Well- who am I kidding, he'll probably always be my baby!)

We spent the weekend at our cabin on the Lake. Here is a good profile of my belly. Only 4 weeks left!! I've gained over 40 lbs so far!! This baby better weigh at least half that, right? We always have so much fun up there. Here we are decorating for the morning 4-wheeler parade. Cam and Whitney drove the kids in the parade. The whole parade stops for cookies and drinks by our cabin. I love being up here because it's so simple . Just other families hanging out with their families and no crazy crowds. That night they have a dutch oven dinner for everyone and a boat parade drive by. Then we watch a firework show over the lake. It is always a good time!

We spent the weekend camping at Palisades. This might just be our last camp out. I'm getting bigger by the second. I'm up 40 lbs!! The heat is killer. I was outside for 5 minutes and swelled up like a balloon. Luckily it was a really cool weekend. The kids enjoyed 4-wheeling and playing in the creek behind our camper.

Instead of waking up to the sounds of birds chirping, the cows came in to leave us fresh cow pies and mooing....music to the ears at 7:00am.

Tyler became a father February 9, 2004 with the birth of our daughter Briley.

Tyler became a father for the second time with the birth of Mason Nov 14, 2005

As women, we sometimes give dads a rough time about what they do, and how much they pitch in. This Father's Day, I wanted to pay tribute to how great my husband really is.
My husband is my best friend. We were married 7 years ago. I knew he would be a great husband and I knew he would be a great dad. When I think about his role as a father I know that he does not recognize the priceless gift that he is to me and my children. Some of my most precious memories where during the births of our children. I was Laughing! Who laughs during Labor? Well, those of you who know Tyler know that this is true. (He about passed out BOTH TIMES!) He is constantly making me laugh. From the birth of our first he stayed with me at the hospital, helped me with everything from feedings, diapers, and sick babies to helping with dishes, grocery shopping and playing with Briley and Mason. Even though he works hard all week, he doesn’t mind if he comes home and dinner isn’t ready or the house is a mess. My kids have an amazing bond with him. When he is gone they ask me where he is and when he is home I can hear them laughing. I smile when I think of the time he heard my baby girl crying and didn’t know the metronome was on. I heard him singing nursery rhymes all night long to comfort her back to sleep. It was priceless! Like many wives and moms, I go to the stores every year at this time to try and pick out the perfect gift. But there isn’t a tool, gift card, of gold club out there that is equal to the worth of my devoted and loving husband.
Our relationship has not been without times of trials or challenges. But in the end he has always been there for us and is a great example for me and the kids. Tyler- you are everything that I knew you would be as a father. I know that I don’t give you enough credit for all the things you do for us. I love you and hope you have a great Fathers Day!!

-To hike, put one foot in front of the other, propelling yourself forward at a steady, workmanlike pace. After repeating this action thousands of times, you will theoretically begin to experience “fun.”-
I love camping. And every morning if we wake up early enough we take a little "Nature walk" with the kids. Well, this time it turned into a full blown HIKE up the backside of Kelly Canyon. Hiking is always funner when you are looking back at the experience but not usually in the present. I was totally swollen when we got back. (Joys of pregnancy.) My kids are in better shape then I am!! We found a stream half way up and stopped to play in the water. I am loving the warm weather..FINALLY!!

I am Finally in my Final Trimester!! This is usually the time I start to go down hill. I get up from the couch and look like an old lady all hunched over because my back hurts. I have already gained the "Recommended" amount of weight a pregnant person should gain so that's fun. It's crazy that my baby weighs 2 pounds and I've gained 25!! How does that work? I have been feeling really good though! Tyler got me these flowers for Mothers Day.

People ask my all the time how I like being a mom. I just kind of say "Oh its good...It's great." You know with Rainbows coming out of my mouth. I guess if I could really be honest I would say something like this when asked how I like being a mom:

"Well, it's complicated. I think it goes without saying that I'm completely and totally in love with my children. But, these children represents a loss too. Every single thing I do in the day, from the moment I wake up in the morning to the moment I crash in bed at night, is dictated by these children. I can't just do what I want, when I want, because everything is dictated by a feeding schedule or a nap schedule, or school. It wasn't like I used to just jet off to Paris on a whim before I had kids, but I could at least jet off to Target.
Sometimes I feel like I'm my kid's servant. Prepare food, pick up food off the floor, pick up toys off the floor ... repeat. I feel like I never get anything done, despite hours sitting around the house. In the past years, I have experienced some depression and it's usually over not being the perfect mom I thought I could be. Sometimes I beat myself up over challenges as small as my inability to get my kids to eat lunch, or go to bed.
On the other hand, having children has taught me that the happiest things in life can be totally simple. The perfect weekend no longer involves complicated planning and special outings, because I'm happy just being with my family. Having children feels like the first week of a new relationship, all the time. No matter what hell they put me through during the day, at night I find myself missing them. And as corny as it sounds, having children has strengthened my relationships with other people as well. I have a stronger bond with my husband, and with my own parents and friends. It brings a lot of ups and downs but the ups are worth EVERY SECOND and I wouldn't trade the joy they have brought me for the world!
So, that's how I like being a mom!!"

Friday night after Dinner Tyler said, "Hey lets take the kids to Lagoon." I looked at him like he was crazy but within 30 minutes we were packed and ready to go. We got a hotel Friday night right by Lagoon and went there all day Saturday. We came home Saturday night. It was fun the first half of the day. I sometimes forget I don't have the same amount of energy. About half way through I was desperately needing a cat-nap but never got one. I could hardly stay awake!

1. WERE YOUR PREGNANCIES PLANNED? Yes…I always said I wanted to be married for at least 5 years before getting pregnant but after only 1 year I was really baby hungry. When Briley turned one, it happened again. I was baby hungry and was pregnant a month later. After Mason was born I felt totally and utterly content. I had my girl and my boy. What more did I need?? Well, turns out that I needed another one. When Mason turned 3 we started trying, but I don't ever remember FEELING baby hungry. I kind of had to talk myself into it for the sake of seeing myself old and not having more then two kids at Thanksgiving dinner.
2. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? I took my very first pregnancy test with Briley and thought it was negative. I called my mom and said, “Mom it’s a negative, the second line was barley there.” She started screaming and told me that means it’s positive! Waiting for a pregnancy test and seeing a POSITIVE result is one of the greatest and happiest feelings in the world. It’s hard to ever forget that day.
3. HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU HAD YOUR FIRST? 21
4. WHO DO YOU TELL FIRST? Tyler and then my mom and family. When Briley was 1 I had her in a shirt that said, “I’m going to be a big sister.” It only took a few minutes for my mom to figure it out and then we told the rest of the family. When I was pregnant with my third I put Briley and Mason on my stove, stuck a bun in the oven and took a picture. We made a puzzle out of it and gave it to the family Christmas morning. It took everyone a while to figure it out. It was hilarious.
5. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? YES. With all of them. I’m the kind of person that has to mentally prepare for what’s to come. You usually find out the Sex of the baby around the same time that it starts to move. It’s really bonding.
6. DUE DATES? Briley-February 29th (born Feb. 9th)
Mason-November 18th (born Nov. 14th)

7. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Not too bad and only the first few weeks.
8. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? Besides everything in sight??? Probably grapenuts with bananas. Cereal, Cereal, Cereal. I could eat it for every meal.
9. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? I’m not very moody while pregnant. It’s the first month or two after that are the most irritating for me. I’m an emotion mess. The two things in life that make me a monster are when I am sleep deprived or hungry. Being up all night and trying to lose the 65 LBS I gain when I’m pregnant are never a good combination.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR CHILDRENS SEX? Briley girl, Mason Boy, and baby on the way is suppose to be a boy.
11. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? Before I had any kids I thought I only wanted all boys. So, when we found out Briley was a girl we were very shocked. But I am SO GLAD I got my girl and SO GLAD she was first. She was the easiest baby and a dream as a daughter. Every Mom needs a daughter. Besides the Drama Queen that shows itself every now and again she is still PERFECT. (The Drama is kind of funny to watch too.)
12. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? 65 lbs
13. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? 1 with my first.
14. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? I knew. My mom and sisters planned it for me and it was a freckin’ party. I still haven’t ever been to one like it since. I even had a stripper pop out of a box….( Oh, it was Tyler with flowers but very funny.)
15. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? Not really. I was use to always being smaller so I thought I was immune to gaining weight. The 65 lbs. I put on with each pregnancy really did a number on me. I had severe back pain and still do. After Mason was born I suffered from “restless leg syndrome” and 3 years later still do almost every night.
16. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? Madison Memorial in Rexburg Idaho.
17. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? 24 Hours with Briley and 4 hours with Mason.
18. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? My husband
19. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? Tyler, my mom, nurses and mid-wife.
20. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? Natural
21. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? Oh, I walk into the hospital backwards asking for my epidural. I felt the Pain with Briley and never want to feel that again. Labor can actually be the most exciting thing in your life when the pain isn’t there.
22. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILDREN WEIGH? Briley was 7.2, Mason was 8.2
23. WHAT DID YOU NAME YOUR CHILDREN AND HOW OLD ARE THEY TODAY? Briley is 5, Mason is 3 and there is one on the way.

So- I'm just under 6 months along and have gained 20 lbs. I'll probably double that in the months to come. He is a very active baby and already keeps me up at night. I actually enjoy this stage in pregnacy because I finally LOOK preggo but I'm not a beached whale yet....(check back in a couple months.)

This is the picture that we used to make a puzzle for my parents on Christmas Morning. After they put it together we waited for someone to figure out that there was a "BUN IN THE OVEN" but no one did. FINALLY my brother-in-law flew out of his seat and everyone kindof figured it out. It was really funny!

So I just had the funniest ultrasound today. I can't believe that after 4-5 months of wondering what it is we FINALLY get to find out!! Our first clue that it was a boy was when we got a shot of what appeared to be the baby scratching his butt! I'm not kidding. So- boys are the same on the inside and the outside! Then we got this picture of the baby where he looks like he is smiling. The umbilical cord kept getting in the way but when we finally got the shot there was no denying that it was a boy. When the Doc said it was a boy the first thing Briley said was, "Yeah and I'm going to change all his diapers!" I have witnesses to this statement and might just take her up on it. I am 19 weeks along and have gained about 15 lbs. It is hard to watch what I eat when we eat out so much. I am relieved to be having another boy but have also heard that you don't know what a boy is until you have two. Mason is so sweet and mellow. Hopefully I get one of those again. And since Briley and Mason's baby pictures are identical it's not hard to imagine what he will look like, but you never know. It was fun to have my mom and sister Hailey there. We are really excited so start posting baby boy names for me!

We had a blast at Disney Land last week. We left on March 1st and came home March 8th. We spent two days at Sea World, two days at Disney Land, and went to the beach the last day before we came home. The weather was Great! I'm 18 weeks pregnant now and we figured this will probably be our last vacation for a while. The kids were amazing and had so much fun.

Briley turned 5 Yesterday!! We need to make room for the baby so we decided a few months ago to turn our toy room downstairs into Briley's room. My mom, Hailey (sister) and I finished it two weeks before her birthday and locked the door. She had no clue. We took her on a scavenger hunt around the house ending in her new room. She was so excited!! Grandma and Briley made the Barbie cake and it was Yummy. We only have birthday parties every other year for our kids and this was an off year for her but it still ended up being quite the Party!!

Well everyone I have some news...I am pregnant! I had an ultrasound and everything looks good. I am 3 months along now and have FINALLY started feeling a little better. We are all so excited. Briley and Mason are making it all so fun. They put there stuffed animals in my shirt and really pamper me. It's so funny. Mason pretends that he is the doctor and Briley brings me pillows, blankets and food...What more can I ask for??!! Tyler has been great the last few months....I BLOW UP over the weirdest things and am like, "WOW! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM??!!. Does that end after the first trimester?? I need to find someone else other then TY to take it out on...maybe the cat. All in all this has been great so far. Mason is 3 and it feels so new and exciting again, like the first time.

So...We draw names for Christmas and my brother-in-law had my name. All December long he kept talking about how "SHOCKED" I would be when I got my present. Well, turns out he got me a kitten! It was random but she has been so fun!! The kids named her "Bella." She is really playful and lets the kids drag her all over the house. Last night I heard some faint "Meowing" and followed the sound. She was in our mail drawer (which is a really small drawer about 4 inches deep.) I'll give you two guesses who put her there....

We had a Great Christmas!! Briley and Mason left cookies out for Santa the night before.... CHRISTMAS MORNING IS FINALLY HERE!!!
